Mindful MovementMindful Movement

Looking for something therapeutic that isn’t talk therapy? Want to change how you work with stress, anxiety, or depression? Give Mindful Movement a try and harness the mind-body connection by using gentle, novel movement to change how you think and improve how you feel.

How does it work?

Your nervous system controls everything about you… your movement, your thoughts, your emotions, your personality, what you like, what you fear... literally everything!

Mindful Movement utilizes gentle movement and self-awareness to activate and reorganize your nervous system and put your brain in a calm and focused state, so you can move towards being your most creative and productive self.

Who is it good for?

Anyone can use Mindful Movement to help ease pain, stress and anxiety. It also helps enhance physical and mental focus, coordination, and flexibility. Each lesson meets you at your level, so anyone can participate.

What happens in a session?

You’ll be verbally guided through a movement sequence either on the floor, standing, or sitting. By moving with increasing awareness, you’ll discover your unique habits, and explore new alternatives for moving, thinking, and responding to your environment. And the best part is that you can move in ways that feel good to you and your body.

Anita is a guild certified Feldenkrais® practitioner and a licensed landscape architect, who uses both skillsets to help folks connect their mind & body for stress management, pain relief, heightened learning, and creativity.
