Learn About Our Services
Group therapy is a powerful treatment that allows people to connect deeply with themselves and with others. As one of the most effective treatments for a variety of concerns, we offer a diverse array of groups throughout the year that are focused on personal growth, skill development, and peer support.
If you're just looking for advice, aren't ready to invest in a full hour initial intake appointment, or you just aren't sure what you need, our Initial Consultations are right for you. In these 10-15 minute appointments, we can provide customized recommendations for on- and off-campus resources.
We are pleased to be able to offer individual therapy with our staff counselors. Availability of individual therapy varies by time of year, and we are happy to incorporate additional resources.
Peer Counselors are a group of students supported by the Counseling Center who are here to provide active listening and promote empathy and connection on campus.
We are proud to offer several options for wellness services, including Acupuncture, Sound Healing, a Wellness Room, an Art Therapy Space, and weighted blankets and Happy Lamps for you to try.
Whether it's 2 p.m. or 2 a.m., you can speak with a counselor by phone 24/7/365. If you are in distress, this service can provide practical, solution focused in-the-moment support to Hamilton students anytime (even over breaks), anywhere (even if you are off campus or studying abroad).
We are proud to be able to offer excellent psychiatric services to help manage or mitigate some mental health concerns. Our providers are skilled at providing a space for you to discuss whether medication might be helpful to you or to assist you in maintaining, changing, or talking through your current prescription.
We are pleased to be able to provide consultation with our Registered Dietitian for students with questions about nutrition, diet, or overall wellness. Maintaining healthy eating habits can be difficult while you’re in school, and this service is here to help if you want support and assistance in reaching your nutritional goals.
Our training program provides supervised training in individual and group counseling for students from Mental Health Counseling Programs and doctoral-level Counseling/Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology programs.
