  • The work of nine Hamilton College senior art majors will be featured in an exhibition at the Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum of Art May 4th to 20th. An opening reception will take place on Thursday, May 4, from 4 to 6 p.m.

  • The Oral Communication Center hosted the second annual Three Minute Thesis competition on April 30. Open to all members of the senior class, the competition offers cash prizes for the students who can most effectively summarize their senior projects in three minutes or less. This year’s competition hosted 15 students whose majors and interests ranged from post-colonial economics to concussion management for athletes.

  • Since the Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum of Art opened in 2012, its permanent collection has grown through gifts and select purchases. Wellin Collects, opening May 5, showcases new and recent acquisitions in a variety of media. Senior Art Thesis 2015, also opening on May 5, displays new work by graduating art majors. Spanning drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture, the exhibition represents a culmination of their studies.

  • As the 2011-12 academic year comes to a close, seniors are busy preparing their final projects and theses for presentation to the community.  As is the tradition at Hamilton, for the next week every department will showcase the work of its concentrators in late afternoon and evening presentations that are open to the public.
