On Thursday, March 19th Summer will launch her book, Erebus, from 6-8pm at 43 East 20th St. #3 NY, NY 10003. 

Ken A. Dill, Distinguished Professor of Physics & Chemistry at Stony Brook University, visited Hamilton on Dec. 4-5, as the College’s second Robert S. Morris Class of 1976 Visiting Fellow.

The Hamilton Program in NYC students took a train from Grand Central to Stamford, Conn., on Oct. 29 to meet with Robert Morris ’76, P’16,’17 managing partner of the private equity firm, Olympus Partners.

Gilbert Strang, the inaugural Robert S. Morris Class of 1976 Visiting Fellow at Hamilton, and the MathWorks Professor of Mathematics at MIT, will be on campus for two events on Thursday and Friday, March 6 and 7.

Students in the NYC Program boarded a train to Stamford, Conn., on Oct. 23 to meet with the founder and managing partner of Olympus Partners, Rob Morris '76 P'16, '17. The Hamilton College trustee spoke about his career, shared some adventures and answered some eager questions.

As Hamilton’s trustees gathered this past week on the Hill for their meetings, two alumni took the opportunity to speak with a select group of students about career paths, life, and the state of the global economy. Rob Morris ’76 and Henry Bedford ’76 spoke to students in Professor Erol Balkan’s International Finance course on March 1 and 2, respectively, providing perspective on topics relevant to the class’s course material.

Hamilton’s New York City Program students participated in their semester’s final event with a visit Robert Morris ’76 in Stamford, Conn., on Dec. 6. Morris invited the group to dine at his offices, where he manages Olympus Partners, a private equity firm with more than $3 billion in assets under management. To date the group had not spoken with an alumnus in the private equity industry, and Morris hosted a visit to remember.

Stuart Muszynski '76, president and CEO of Purple America-Project Love® Remember the Children Foundation, will co-moderate a televised debate on "Getting to Common Ground and Greater Good."  The program marks the beginning of Purple America's national Re-Imagine America® campaign, which seeks to the foster core values Americans share regardless of political affiliation. 

International law firm Nixon Peabody LLP has named Douglas Glucroft '76 managing partner of the firm's Paris office. Glucroft has practiced in Paris for 15 years.  He focuses on private equity and global business and transactions.

Over the course of Reunions ’11 Weekend, speakers at 30 Alumni College events informed the more than 1,000 returning alumni and guests on a wide variety of topics, ranging from urban redevelopment to food allergies to healthcare to sustainable investments.
