Frank Anechiarico ’71, the Maynard-Knox Professor of Government and Law, recently joined the advisory board of The Museum of Political Corruption in Albany, N.Y. Also on the board is former gubernatorial candidate Zephyr Teachout.

Hamilton will host a panel discussion, “Perspectives on Capital Punishment: A Discussion of the Death Penalty,” on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 4:15 p.m., in the Bradford Auditorium, KJ. The panel discussion will feature two experts in the field, law school professor Robert Blecker and The Constitution Project counsel Sarah Turberville, who offer differing perspectives on the controversial issue. The discussion, which will be moderated by Maynard-Knox Professor of Government and Law Frank Anechiarico, is free and open to the public.

Frank Anechiarico ’71, the Maynard-Knox Professor of Government and Law, will take over as managing editor of the journal Public Integrity (PIN) on Sept. 1. He has served on the editorial board for several years.

Frank Anechiarico ‘71, the Maynard-Knox Professor of Government and Law, gave a lecture on Nov. 29 at the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. His lecture on “The Law and Politics of Quarantine in the United States” was at the invitation of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

Maynard-Knox Professor of Government and Law Frank Anechiarico was an organizer and addressed delegates at the 10th New York City Global Partners Summit “Public Integrity: Anti-Corruption Strategies, Economic Development and Good Governance” June 6-8 at Fordham University School of Law.

Caroline Winterer, professor of history and classics at Stanford University, will present a lecture, “The Classical World of Alexander Hamilton,” on Monday, April 16, at 4:10 p.m., in the Taylor Science Center Kennedy Auditorium. The lecture is sponsored by the Classics Department and is free and open to the public.

On Saturday, April 7, a group of students enrolled in "The Classical Tradition in American Political Life: Cicero, Jefferson, and Hamilton," a course taught by Frank Anechiarico '71, Maynard Knox Professor of Government and Law, and Carl Rubino, Winslow Professor of Classics, traveled to New York City to visit the New York Historical Society and the Grange, the home that Alexander Hamilton built for himself and his family.

Frank Anechiarico ’71, Maynard-Knox Professor of Government and Law, addressed the Northeast Conference on Public Administration on “The Ethical Implication of Government Outsourcing” at the conference's annual meeting in New York City on Oct. 29.

U.S. Army Col. Maritza Ryan and U.S. Air Force Col. James M. Durant III will be members of a panel discussing “The Evolution of Diversity: Race and Gender in the U.S. Military” on Monday, Sept. 26, at 4 p.m. in the Days-Massolo Center. They will be joined by Maynard-Knox Professor of Government Frank Anechiarico ’71 and Professor of Mathematics Debra Boutin. Sponsored by the Chief Diversity Officer and the Office of the President, the event is free and open to the public.

Hamilton’s highest awards for teaching were presented at Class & Charter Day on May 6 to  Professor of Economics Elizabeth Jensen, Professor of English and Creative Writing Doran Larson, Associate Professor of Women’s Studies Anne Lacsamana and Assistant Professor of Philosophy Russell Marcus. Frank Anechiarico '71, the Maynard-Knox Professor of Government and Law, was presented with the Sidney Wertimer Award by the Student Assembly.
