According to the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU), the total economic impact includes spending on research and development, construction, technology, salaries, and other operating expenses. The study also estimated spending by students and visitors, which totaled $19.8 million.

A new economic impact study commissioned by the Albany-based Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU) for its members found that Hamilton’s estimated economic impact in the Mohawk Valley for 2018-19 totaled $325.5 million.

The Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU) elected Hamilton College President David Wippman as one of nine new members to its board of trustees at the commission’s 65th annual meeting on March 2.

Anyi Rescalvo was selected as a Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU) student cabinet member representing Hamilton. In that role, she attended CICU’s Student Cabinet and Student Aid Advocacy Days on Feb. 10 and 11 in Albany, N.Y.

A new economic impact study commissioned by the Albany-based Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU) for its members found that Hamilton College’s estimated economic impact in the Mohawk Valley for 2016-17 totaled $322 million, nearly half of the total $683 million that all private non-profit colleges in the Mohawk Valley contributed.

Hamilton President Joan Hinde Stewart was elected secretary of the Commission on Independent College and Universities (CICU) executive committee  at CICU’s board of trustees meeting on April 21.
