Twenty-five Hamilton students returned to campus 10 days before the spring semester begins to participate in the third Levitt Leadership Institute (LLI). The program was designed and is led by Ambassador Prudence Bushnell with the assistance of Christine Powers and is intended to provide leadership training for students. The LLI was made possible by the financial support of Arthur Levitt, Jr. P '81, and the Norman and Rosita Winston Foundation.

Hamilton’s curling team is back in action with 20 members competing this season under captain Meghan Doherty '14 and president Trevor Howe ’14. The team’s season began in October and will continue until March.

Hamilton College Performing Arts begins the spring semester with a modern dance performance featuring Doug Varone and Dancers, presented by the Mohawk Valley Dance Partnership, on Saturday, Jan. 25. This and all performing arts events will take place in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center for Music and the Performing Arts, at 7:30 p.m.

Student research and volunteering garnered significant local attention, and faculty members and administrators offered expertise on timely news topics throughout the year.

Professor of Economics Stephen Wu participated in the 2014 American Economic Association Annual Meetings, held in Philadelphia on Jan. 3-5. He was part of panel discussion of online learning in economics courses in a session titled "Research in Economic Education."
