Joshua "Jicks" Hicks '09

This library of spiritual film proudly bears the name of our fallen brother Joshuah "Jicks" Hicks. He died unexpectedly from complications with food allergies on Good Friday, April 6, 2012. At the time of his death he was completing a masters of divinity degree at Gordon Conwell Seminary where – as at Hamilton – he brought joy and music and a love for people. As a Religious Studies major at Hamilton College he did his final project in religion and film with Prof. Humphries-Brooks, and creating a theological film which we hold in our collection. In honor of his devotion to the religious life and his deep involvement in film and music and  the creative arts, his brother Geoffrey Hicks '09 and Geoff's wife Robin Joseph Hicks '09 came back to campus along with many alums who knew and loved Jicks to dedicate this collection of spiritual film in the fine name of Joshua Hicks.
