Additionally spiritual orientations are an essential ingredient in approaching environmental sustainability and eco-justice.

Bob Moses ’56 (1935 – 2021) is pictured here, addressing an audience in the chapel, was awarded an honorary doctorate from Hamilton College in 1991 for his role in Freedom Summer, a nationwide volunteer effort to achieve voter registration for disenfranchised Black citizens in Mississippi during the 1964 presidential race.

 

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
