Social Justice Community
At the heart of religious and spiritual life is a moral foundation of commitment to a world where differences are embraced in a common appreciation of human connectedness and mutual responsibility. Additionally spiritual orientations are an essential ingredient in approaching environmental sustainability and eco-justice.
Bob Moses ’56 (1935 – 2021) is pictured here, addressing an audience in the chapel, was awarded an honorary doctorate from Hamilton College in 1991 for his role in Freedom Summer, a nationwide volunteer effort to achieve voter registration for disenfranchised Black citizens in Mississippi during the 1964 presidential race.
