What is biofeedback?
Biofeedback is a computer-assisted process through which people can learn to improve their physical and mental health by changing their physiological responses, such as breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, muscle tension, and skin temperature. The biofeedback instruments capture these responses and display or “feed back” the information to the users via a monitor. With regular practice, people can eventually come to regulate their desired responses without the use of biofeedback.
How can I get biofeedback?
Our Biofeedback Room is open to all students and can be reserved through our Office Manager. You can use it as often as you like. If you have a specific concern that you'd like to address using biofeedback, you can explore our Individualized Biofeedback services to see if they are appropriate for your situation.
