Rachel Martinie
Language Center Coordinator
Rachel (she/her) undertakes various responsibilities in her role as the Language Center Coordinator and ALEX Program Technologist. Rachel hires and oversees all Language Center student workers, manages payroll, collaborates with the language faculty on curriculum development, creates second language acquisition workshops for language faculty. Rachel's background is secondary Spanish education, and she earned her Master’s degree in TESOL. When not at the Language Center, Rachel spends her time gardening, hiking with her dog, and cooking.

Renata Altuzar Barcenas ’26
Renata is a senior from Mexico City. She is a Biology major and Literature minor, as well as part of the Club Sailing team on campus.
Aiko Doyle '28
Aiko is a sophomore from New York City. She plans to be a double major in Physics and World Politics. On campus, she is a part of the Chabad Board and involved in Greek life. In her free time, Aiko enjoys hiking the Glen Trails and having card nights with friends.
Cindy Ma '28
Cindy is a sophomore from Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. She is one of the many language center student assistants that you will meet when you first enter the Language Center. She also works as a Sadove Support Staff at the Sadove building. Outside of class, you might meet her exploring the glens, taking a nap on a random couch, on her phone taking videos of squirrels or chatting with family and friends.
Eliana Mannes '26
Eliana is a senior from the Washington DC area who has worked for the Language Center for one year. She is involved with many groups on campus such as WHCL, The Duel Observer satirical newspaper, and Women's Club Rugby. When not at the LC, studio, or on the field, Eliana is studying hard in her favorite, and controversial, study spot, CJ first floor.
Mel Santana '28
Melanie is a sophomore from Miami, Florida, and will be working as a Language Center Student Assistant. She is planning to declare a concentration in Neuroscience with a minor in Hispanic Studies. On campus, she serves as an E-Board member of La Vanguardia and is co-director of the HUM Program. In her free time, she plays volleyball with Hamilton College’s Volleyball Club and loves having movie nights with her friends.
Joy Seo '27
Joy is a junior from Korea majoring in Biology and Hispanic Studies. She works in the Language Center as an assistant and as a Korean Facilitator. Outside the Language Center, you can find her at the gym or science center!
