Eckerd College's Phi Beta Kappa chapter is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, and to kick off the year, the chapter invited Marianne Janack, John Stewart Kennedy Professor of Philosophy and Phi Beta Kappa Romanell Professor of Philosophy for 2017-18, to campus for class visits and a public lecture.

Katherine H. Terrell, associate professor of literature and creative writing, published an edition and translation of the Middle English romance of Richard Coeur de Lion with Broadview Press.

Burgess Professor of French Roberta (Bonnie) Krueger contributed a chapter to Approaches to Teaching the Works of Christine de Pizan, published by the Modern Language Association.
