You can learn a great deal about Hamilton by exploring our website or reading our publications, but there’s no substitute for being here. Take a campus tour, sit in on an information session, interview with a Hamilton Admission representative, or visit a class.
Important notations:
Because of construction work on a county road that runs through campus there is a detour for getting to the Office of Admission (See map of detour).
No prospective student visit options are available on September 3 in observance of the Labor Day holiday; November 22-23 for the Thanksgiving holiday; and December 24-31 for the Holiday Recess.

Interviews

People don’t join the Hamilton community for just four years; they belong for a lifetime. For many students, membership in that enduring community begins with the personal interview. Because the admission committee works hard to ensure “fit” when determining admission decisions, personal interviews are strongly encouraged. An interview provides us with a sense of your personal strengths and interests that may not be obvious in an application. It also gives you a chance to ask questions and learn more about Hamilton in a personal setting.

Personal interviews are conducted by admission officers or Hamilton seniors who are carefully selected and trained for this purpose. On-campus interviews are available as follows:

  • Most weekdays: 9:15 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m., 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
  • Most Saturdays in the fall: 9:45 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 1 p.m., 1:45 p.m.

To schedule an on-campus interview, please use our online registration form. Because our interviews are fully booked weeks in advance, try to schedule an interview well before your intended visit.

If you cannot visit campus for an interview, we would be happy to arrange for an off-campus interview with an alumni representative during the fall of your senior year. Learn more about Off-Campus Interviews.

Visit a Class

When classes are in session, prospective students who are visitors of the Admission Office are generally welcome to sit in on classes, but are encouraged to arrive five minutes before the class begins to introduce themselves to the professor and to make sure the content for that day is appropriate (not an exam day, etc.).

TEMPORARY DETOUR

There will be considerable construction this summer on Campus Road, a county road that runs through campus. As you arrive in Clinton and approach campus, please follow the College’s admission visitor signs (not your GPS!) that will direct you to Siuda House and the start of your tour. The map below outlines the detour. Thanks for your patience!
