First-Year Applicants
To apply for admission, candidates must submit one of the following applications:
- The Common Application
- The Coalition for Access, Affordability and Success (via Scoir)
- Eligible students may also apply through their QuestBridge National College Match application.
Application Plans
Early Decision
This option is for students who have decided that Hamilton is their first choice. Hamilton has two Early Decision plans, with application deadlines on November 15 and January 4.
Regular Decision
Hamilton’s Regular Decision application deadline is January 4. Applicants receive notification of their status in late March.

January Admission
Hamilton College offers January admission to several dozen students each year, and seeks to annually enroll about 50 new first-year students in the spring semester.
Early Assurance & Dual Degree Graduate Programs
Through partnerships with some of the world’s leading universities, students admitted to a joint program will receive admission to Hamilton and early assurance of their admission to the graduate program.

Note: The Supplemental Short Answer is available via all of the application platforms (Common App, Coalition/Scoir, and QuestBridge), or can be completed after you have submitted your application — it can be accessed from your Applicant Portal. The Hamilton Hello video, Personal URL, and Studio/Performing Arts supplement are all submitted via the Applicant Portal. Access to the Applicant Portal is granted a few days after Hamilton receives your application.
