Group Visits


Hamilton College offers group visits for schools and community based organizations looking to bring 10 or more high school students for an information session and/or campus tour.

Request a group visit

  • Employees of Hamilton College wishing to host a group visit should contact groupvisits@hamilton.edu directly to schedule a campus tour.
  • Groups visiting Hamilton College have the option of doing an Information Session with an Admission Officer either before or after the Campus Tour.

Groups wishing to visit Hamilton should submit a request at least two weeks prior to the anticipated visit date; we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate late requests.

Please be advised, your request is pending approval by the Office of Admission until you receive a confirmation form from our Group Visit Coordinator. Visits are subject to the academic calendar and the availability of admission staff and student tour guides. We are unable to accommodate groups of 10 or more on weekends and holidays.

LUNCH ON CAMPUS

Once your Group Visit is confirmed, the Office of Admission kindly asks that you contact catering@hamilton.edu, should you desire lunch during your visit. The pricing is as follows:

  • Boxed Lunch ($9.25 per person)
  • Dining Hall ($7.15 per person)

It is your responsibility to contact catering@hamilton.edu once you receive a confirmation email from the Group Visit Coordinator. The Office of Admission is not responsible for coordinating lunch for your visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where should my group park when we get to campus?

Please have the vehicles drop your students off at building 44 on the campus map and then park in the lot next to building 40. After your visit, the bus may pick you up next to building 40.

My group is running late! What should we do?!

Don’t panic! We understand! Please call the front desk at 800-843-2655 to let us know your anticipated arrival time. Please be aware certain aspects of your visit may be cancelled if you arrive late.

Do I have to sign up for both an Information Session and a Campus Tour?

No, but you are welcome to sign up for both if you would like. If you want to do both an Information Session and a Campus Tour, you may choose whether you would like the Information Session before or after the tour.

What if I want to bring a group of 5 students to campus?

If you are coming to campus with a group of 10 or fewer students, you do not need to register for a Group Visit. You are welcome to sign up for our daily Information Session and tour times.

The date my group would like to visit is unavailable or booked. What should I do?

Visits are subject to the academic calendar and the availability of admission staff and student tour guides. Please choose from the available times shown above.

My plans have changed and I can no longer make my Group Visit. Who should I contact?

Please email groupvisits@hamilton.edu at least three days in advance if you can no longer make your Group Visit. If you would like to reschedule, please cancel the previous request through email and sign up for a new time slot on the Group Visit Registration Page.

How do I coordinate having lunch on campus?

The Office of Admission kindly asks that you contact catering@hamilton.edu, should you desire lunch during your visit. Please note type of lunch (boxed or dining hall), the number of lunches needed, and meal time. Should you request boxed lunches, please ask that they be delivered to Siuda House at least 15 minutes prior to your anticipated lunch time. Please forward your lunch confirmation to groupvisits@hamilton.edu. You may bring boxed lunches on the road with you or eat them on the porch of Siuda House (provided your lunch time does not fall during our daily 12:15-1:00 pm Information Session). The pricing is as follows:

I am an employee of Hamilton College and I would like to request a tour for an event I am hosting on campus. Who should I contact?

We are happy to hear that you would like to host an event for prospective students! Please email groupvisits@hamilton.edu to coordinate your tour. We cannot guarantee that tour guides will be available for your anticipated event date, but we will do our best to accommodate you in our busy tour schedule.
