New Beginnings
FOR THE HAMILTON community, fall semester is the time we return to “normal.” For us, the summer months are always too quiet. We miss the greetings of students and colleagues on the pathways, and maybe even the smells wafting from the exhaust fans at Commons — good and bad!
New and returning students have now settled into being on campus. For some this time represents a series of new beginnings, and for others further steps along their journey.
Being part of this community inspires us to know ourselves, a goal that never leaves us. Your updates in Class Notes remind me that our Hamilton journeys never end — we continue to read, write, travel, present, and discuss, in some instances all over the world!
As fall turns to winter, the Alumni Office has entered new territory, too. We welcomed our new Director for Alumni & Parent Relations
Jacke Jones, who comes to us from the Office of the President, and whom you will hear more from in the coming months. We also worked with the Alumni Council to offer expanded programming, both in-person and virtual, and readied ourselves to bid farewell to President Wippman as he prepares for his retirement at the end of June.
More to come on all of that. In the meantime, we hope that whatever new beginning you embrace in these seasons of change, you know your Hamily is rooting for you and waiting to hear the rest of your story.
