Donald De Vere Bradley, Jr. '62

Donald De Vere Bradley, Jr. ’62, a chemicals business executive of Williamsville, N.Y., was born on Nov.19, 1939, in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of the former Helen Sutton, a registered nurse, and Donald Bradley ’28, president of Commercial Chemicals Inc. of Buffalo. He graduated from the Vermont Academy in Rockingham, Vt.

At Hamilton, Bradley was a member of Theta Delta Chi. He left the College in 1959 and completed his military service with the U.S. Air Force in 1961 before pursuing work in various positions in the family chemicals business, which was sold in 1995.

In addition to his father, his Hamilton legacy includes his brother, William Bradley ’56, nephews Peter Bradley ’82, David Bradley ’83, and Timothy Bradley ’86, and a niece, Michelle Bradley ’89. His parents established the Bradley Scholarship Fund at the College.

Donald D. Bradley died on June 20, 2018. He was 78 years old. Bradley is survived by his wife, the former Julie Bishop, six children, and nine grandchildren. He was post-deceased by his brother less than a month later, on July 12.
