Secure Transactions Statement
Hamilton College uses industry-standard technologies to protect the security of transactions on its Web site. This includes Secure Socket Layers (SSL) software, which encrypts transmissions to prevent others from viewing data in transit. In addition, third-party vendors that have contracted with Hamilton College to provide Internet services use industry-standard methods and technologies to maintain security.
To ensure the highest level of security, Hamilton College encourages all visitors to use the most recent version of Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer.
Fair Credit Billing Act
Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, a cardholder cannot be held liable for more than $50 of fraudulent charges made with his or her credit card. If unauthorized use of a credit card is suspected, the cardholder should contact the credit card provider immediately and should follow the provider's procedures for reporting lost or stolen cards or fraudulent charges.
