  • After a historic top-24 national championship finish in the 2012 season, Hamilton’s mock trial team has managed yet another impressive feat by taking home first place at the Cornell University Big Red Invitational Tournament.

  • On the eve of its 10th anniversary, the Hamilton College Mock Trial team finished third in the Opening Round Championship Series (ORCS) on March 23-25, and qualified for the national championship tournament in April. Team captain Tyler Roberts ’12 won an Outstanding Attorney award and Patrick Bedard ’14 won an Outstanding Witness award.

  • Hamilton’s Mock Trial team continued to have a successful season, finishing fourth at the Buffalo, N.Y., regional tournament held Feb. 10 - 12. With an overall record of 7-1, the team earned a bid to compete in the Opening Round Championship Series in Hamilton, Ohio, on March 23 - 25. Maggie McGuire ’15 and Ian Carradine ’15 won Outstanding Witness awards, demonstrating the depth of the team’s talent.

  • Hamilton’s Mock Trial team participated in the third annual Colgate Classic at Colgate University on Nov. 5 and 6 and finished in first place, continuing a series of strong performances in the tournament. Ian Thresher ’12, Marta Johnson ’13 and KT Stein ’14 won Outstanding Attorney awards and Emily Tompsett ’13 won an Outstanding Witness award.

  • Hamilton’s Mock Trial team is following up one of its best finishes in program history with another strong start to the season. The team began the season by finishing second at the Colgate Classic Tournament on Nov. 6-7. Hamilton’s team faced teams from Cornell University, Villanova University, Canisius College and Colgate University. Noah Bishop ‘11 won an outstanding attorney award while Lennie Specht ‘11 and Ashley Vanicek ’13 both won outstanding witness awards.

  • Hamilton’s Mock Trial team placed 12th (out of 24) at its Opening Round Championship Series competition held March 13-14 at Pace Law School. Competing on Hamilton’s team were Dorian Bakogiannis ’10, Liz Farrington ’10, Noah Bishop ’11, Julia Goldstein ’12, Beth O’Meara ’12, Tyler Roberts ’12, Alex Rued ’12, Ian Thresher ’12, Libby Gutschenritter ’13 and Marta Johnson ’13.

  • Hamilton’s Mock Trial team won its supplementary regional tournament on February 27 at Colgate University and by doing so qualified for the Opening Round Championship Series competition in White Plains, N.Y. This supplementary regional was a continuation of the regional competition at Syracuse University on February 13-14. Hamilton won both of its trials at the supplementary regional—first defeating the University of Buffalo and then Colgate University.

  • Hamilton’s Mock Trial team participated in regional mock trial competition February 13-14 at Syracuse University, with two team members winning special recognition. The team finished in 11th place out of 24 teams. The top eight teams advanced to the next round.

  • Hamilton's Mock Trial team took first place at the inaugural Colgate Classic tournament, Nov. 7-8. The team, which was undefeated, competed against College of the Holy Cross, Canisius College, Drexel University, and then last year’s regional champion Syracuse University in the fourth, championship round. Twenty-four teams competed from schools that included Princeton, Amherst, and the University of Rochester.
