Guest Chef at Commons!

What a fantastic day it was on February 21 when students were greeted with Chef Matthew’s menu! Thanks to the International Student Services (ISS) and Bon Appetit’s head chef’s recent discussion a few months ago, the idea of inviting visiting chefs on campus to share their culinary experiences with Hamilton’s community became a reality. The visiting chef’s menu received an overwhelming amount of positive attention from students who appreciated the celebration of Black History Month and the diverse options of food available.

The various sauces and sides that Chef Matthew offered were a hit with students, who enjoyed the opportunity to sample and choose their favorites. The food was flavorful and exceeded everyone’s expectations, leading to an outpouring of gratitude from students. They even expressed their desire to have Chef Matthew visit more often and have his recipes used more in the dining halls.

We hope that this won’t be the last time we have the opportunity to welcome a visiting chef on campus to share their culinary skills. A big thank you to Chef Derek and Chef Matthew for helping make this special day possible! The ISS team is thrilled that the students enjoyed the experience and can't wait to see what's in store for the future.
