Gift Guidelines

The Library appreciates donations of books and other items that can enrich our collection, but we are severely limiting our acceptance of gifts due to space constraints.

When considering donating items to the Library, please note the conditions listed below. Donors will be asked to sign a form indicating their understanding of these conditions.

• Please contact the Collections staff when considering any gift. We cannot accept gifts brought in without prior communication.
• Library staff will make the final decision on adding gift material to the collections.
• Items donated, but not added to the collection will be offered to other libraries or otherwise disposed of at the Library’s discretion.
• The Library does not provide estimates of value for tax purposes. 

An acknowledgment letter giving the types and number of materials donated will be sent to the donor.
