In 2015, Hamilton joined with Colgate University, Davidson College, and Wellesley College in creating the Liberal Arts Consortium to promote our institutions' exploration of the role of edX and other online platforms and technologies in learning and pedagogy. Below is a review of Hamilton's work to date in the area of massive online open courses (MOOCs).

Monk Rowe's Jazz: The Music, The Stories, The Players

During each of the two times this course has been offered, Monk Rowe hosted a live Jazz concert at the Little Pub that was broadcast to the course's global community of ~7000 enrolled students. Monk led a group with both shifting personnel and grooves through tunes familiar and new. Participants were able to pose questions to Monk and his band and also connect with each other in a live chat. Monk composed a song for each run of the course, the name of which was solicited from and voted on by members of the course, which was played during the concert.
