Excursions & Cultural Visits

A full program of excursions, visits and group activities is included in the tuition and fees for Hamilton College Academic Year in Spain. This gives all students the opportunity to broaden their experience beyond the classroom.

Students receive reimbursement for half of the cost of cultural events which they attend individually (theater, film, museums visits, etc.).

Some of our academic excursions have been:

A three-day weekend trip to the global, international Catalan city of Barcelona, featuring a visit to the Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia, la Barceloneta and more.

A five-day orientation trip to the northwestern Spanish region of Galicia, that includes a hike on the Camino de Santiago, Santiago de Compostela, a visit to a vineyard and to several coastal fishing villages.

A three-day weekend trip to the island of Mallorca, located on the Mediterranean Sea, visiting the towns of Palma de Mallorca and Soller, with visits to beaches, a boat ride and a scenic train ride.
