Course Description:

This course will use microeconomic theory, statistical methods, and recent empirical work to examine the causes and consequences of gender and sexual orientation differences in economic outcomes. We will study a variety of topics including education, labor supply, marriage, household, and family choices. This course will 1) examine the history and current state of affairs of gender and sexual orientation differences 2) evaluate policy and its impacts on outcomes.
