Title: The Internet Novel
Day & Time 1: TR 10:30AM 11:45AM
Instructor I: Sgro S

Course Description:

In an always-on digital culture, what does it mean to write an “internet novel?” How have internet novels continued to evolve since the early web, and how are their characters, conflicts, and forms inextricable from online life? We’ll read works that consider grief and longing in the digital age, auto-fictional stories authored by internet personas, and novels written in the form of tweets and live journals alongside short essays on craft and internet culture. Texts include Patricia Lockwood’s No One Is Talking About This, Eugene Lim’s Search History, and Kristen Felicetti’s Log Off.
