A Conversation With Advocate and Civil Rights Attorney Mary Bonauto ’83

6/16/2021, 6:00 PMVIRTUAL

Join us for a HCN event featuring Mary Bonauto ’83, civil rights project director at GLBTQ Legal Advocates and Defenders (GLAD) since 1990. Mary has litigated in the state and federal courts of New England on discrimination issues, parental rights, free speech, religious liberty, and relationship recognition. In 2015 she successfully argued before the U.S. Supreme Court in the historic case Obergefell v. Hodges, establishing the freedom to marry for same-sex couples nationwide.  We will talk with Mary about her career, her advocacy work, and her experience at Hamilton.

There is no cost to participate in virtual events. However, the suggested donation amount is $10 “Alexander Hamilton” to support the Hamilton Fund.
