Assistant Professor of Economics Judit Temesvary published an article titled “Foreign activities of U.S. banks since 1997: The roles of regulations and market conditions in crises and normal times” in the Journal of International Money and Finance.

While many recent graduates interested in an MBA take a few years to gain some professional work experience, Sabrina Yurkofsky ’15 is moving straight on from graduation to pursue a degree from NYU’s Stern School of Business, where she will be concentrating in entertainment, media and technology.

An article titled “A Good Forgetting” by Professor of Philosophy Marianne Janack was published online on June 4 in Aeon Magazine. In the article, Janack discussed the pros and cons of both remembering and forgetting, and the influence of emotion and other factors on how the brain processes memories.

Members of the Class of 1965 were feted and the 50th anniversary of the signing of Kirkland College’s charter was celebrated.

Associate Professor of Psychology Tara McKee presented a poster on May 30 at the 5th World Congress on ADHD in Glasgow, Scotland. The poster, titled “Social-Emotional Correlates of ADHD Symptomatology in College Students,” presented the results of research conducted last summer with the help of Joshua DeVinney ’15 and Courtney Hobgood ’15

Hamilton College welcomed 3rd grade students from Oneida’s Seneca Street Elementary School to the Taylor Science Center on June 3 for a number of educational presentations on psychology, biology, physics and chemistry.

The Orchard at Hamilton, an artist residency and development program constituting a nine-day stay on campus by a number of alumni and undergraduates, is beginning to flourish this week.

Hamilton has named its new intercollegiate athletics team center, a 5,100-square-foot addition to Sage Rink, for alumnus and charter trustee Robert V. Delaney ’79 and his wife Pamela Craig. The couple provided the lead funding for the $3.2 million facility that includes four team rooms for fall, winter and spring sports teams; a satellite sports medicine room; laundry room; and an equipment enclosure. The Delaney Team Center was dedicated during Reunion Weekend on Saturday, June 6.
