The C. F. Amidon Memorial Library Fund

This fund was established by Beulah M. Amidon in memory of Charles F. Amidon, Class of 1882. C. F. Amidon was a judge and distinguished Hamilton alumnus. Throughout his long career in law, C.F. served various roles in the state of North Dakota. He worked in private practice and as the city attorney in Fargo, North Dakota, before taking the position of code commissioner in 1893. Then, in 1896, he received a recess appointment from President Grover Cleveland for the position of U.S. District Court Judge in North Dakota. He held his senior position as judge until his death in 1937.
