A broad overview of statistical analyses and data visualization types commonly used in biology. Topics include the descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, common parametric and non-parametric tests, statistical modeling, and other relevant techniques commonly across the biological sciences. Emphasis is on “hands-on” practice with biological datasets, including selecting appropriate tests and methods, evaluating test assumptions, and visualization of results.
