Assistant Professor of Psychology José Causadias was the co-editor of La teoría del apego: Investigación y aplicaciones clínicas, the first edited handbook of parent-child attachment in Spanish.

The Hamilton College men's and women's swimming & diving teams did some volunteer work with Oneida County Habitat for Humanity in nearby Marcy on Sept. 27.

Hamilton Program in New York student Jeremy Mathurin ’16 experienced a unique day at his internship with the Brooklyn Nets. Every year, NBA teams organize a series of Media Day events, where organizations had the chance to market, brand and interview their respective rosters in anticipation of the upcoming regular season.

Assistant Professor of Economics Emily Conover, together with colleagues from Amherst, Colgate, Wesleyan and Vassar, co-organized the second Liberal Arts Colleges Development Economic Conference (LAC-DEV). The conference was hosted by Colgate University on Sept. 26-27.

Hamilton's Honor Court hosted a two-day conference on campus on September 26-27 to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches to introducing, maintaining and enforcing honor codes.  The court invited members of honor courts at several liberal arts college, including Union, Haverford, Davidson and Reed, selected for the strength of their own honor code traditions.

Hamilton College Performing Arts continues the fall series with the Lark String Quartet on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 7:30 pm in Wellin Hall, Schambach Center.

Barbara Gold (Classics), Steve Yao (English) and Brent Plate (Religious Studies) attended the Meeting of Directors of Humanities Centers at Small Liberal Arts Colleges at Wellesley College on Sept. 27.  This is a subgroup of the CHCI (Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes), an international group of colleges and universities that have (or will have/hope to have) humanities centers.

Robert Kantrowitz ’82, professor and chair of mathematics, presented “Archimedes meets geometric series” in the mathematics seminar series on Sept. 23 at Middlebury College.

Hamilton New York Program students recently toured the Whitney Museum, a modern art museum near Central Park. The group was led on a guided tour through a four-story exhibit of artist Jeff Koons. The exhibit was arranged chronologically, so the students saw the evolution of Koons' work.

A memorial service for James L. Ferguson Professor of Psychology Jonathan Vaughan will be held on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 4 p.m., in the Hamilton College Chapel.
