The Alex Soilemedjides Memorial Fund

This fund was established by alumni and friends in memory of Alex Soilemedjides, Class of 1971, who was killed in terrorist attack in Lebanon in November 1980. It supports the purchase of books in Anthropology or Greek History and Civilization for the College Library.

Alex came to Hamilton from Greece. At the time of his death, he was remembered by his friends, including his Sigma Phi brothers, for his “charm, wit, and unflappable poise, as well as his unrestrained and contagious enthusiasm for life.”
