The George T. Link Book Endowment in Mathematics

This fund was established in 1979 by the family of George T. Link, Class of 1918.

A member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity, George Link was elected to Phi Beta Kapp in his senior year. Following his graduation from Hamilton in 1918, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as a 2nd Lieutenant in the infantry during World War I. At the war’s conclusion, he was employed at Travelers Insurance Company, but assumed management of the family business, Link Piano Company, after his father became ill. He was a skilled businessman, and cared deeply about his family, founding Link Aviation, Inc. in 1935 alongside his brother, E. A. Link. Before retiring, his career included service as the senior vice-president of Link Group of General.
