Informations pour l’année 2022-23

Our team in Paris and on Hamilton campus is actively preparing AY 2022-23 and closely monitoring the regulations around Covid-19 in the US and in France. Protocols and updates to our academic program are distributed to our participants onsite and will be published later in the spring and updated until departure.

All participants will be required to adhere strictly to all the rules imposed by Hamilton College, CDC, Reid Hall administration, and the French authorities: these may include predeparture testing; quarantine upon arrival on the French territory; follow-up testing; distancing; masks. Detailed information will be provided to participants closer to departure.

Hamilton College requires all students to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to participating in Hamilton study-away programs, including Hamilton in France. Some students may be eligible for — and will need to show documentation of — religious or medical exemptions, but students must also meet the entry requirements of the country in which they plan to study.  Hamilton in France hopes to achieve 100 percent compliance with this vaccination requirement as it will impact students' full participation with regards to homestays and cultural excursions. The College believes this policy is the best way to resume a full range of activities while protecting the health and safety of our students and the communities in which we operate. Hamilton’s policy is notwithstanding further regulations the airlines, CDC, Reid Hall, the European Union or France may impose later.

Students applying for Fall 2022 will need a passport valid until May 2023 for their Visa. It may take 3 months to issue/renew a U.S. Passport at this time.

American Programs in France

Hamilton in France is a founding member of the Association de Programmes Universitaires Américains en France (APUAF), an active and supportive group of American programs located in France. APUAF is closely monitoring French mandates around COVID-19, creating and updating fact sheets with guidelines and rules which we are attaching below. Note that these are not Hamilton College nor Hamilton in France official protocols, which will be published at a later date, but a summary of current rules. See  COVID-19 precautions we have taken for students' safety in this video.
