Informations pour l’année 2021-22

Our team in Paris and on Hamilton campus is actively preparing AY 2021-22, most especially Fall 2021, and closely monitoring the regulations around Covid-19 in the US and in France. Protocols and updates on our academic program will be published later in the spring, and updated until departure.

Hamilton College is requiring all students to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to arriving on campus in fall 2021, working on campus during summer 2021, or participating in Hamilton study-away programs including Hamilton in France (HiF). Some students may be eligible for — and will need to show documentation of — religious or medical exceptions, but HiF hopes to achieve 100 percent compliance with this vaccination requirement. The College believes this policy is the best way to resume a full range of activities while protecting the health and safety of our students and the communities in which we operate. Hamilton’s policy is notwithstanding further regulations the airlines, CDC, the European Union or France may impose later.

Students applying for Spring 2022 will need a passport valid until September 2022 for their Visa. It may take 3 months to issue/renew a U.S. Passport at this time.

French regulation on COVID-19

American Programs in France

Hamilton in France is a founding member of the Association de Programmes Universitaires Américains en France (APUAF), an active and supportive group of American programs located in France. APUAF is closely monitoring French mandates around COVID-19, creating and updating fact sheets with guidelines and rules which we are attaching below. Note that these are not Hamilton College nor Hamilton in France official protocols, which will be published at a later date, but a summary of current rules. See  COVID-19 precautions we have taken for students' safety in this video.

APUAF — COVID-19 Info Sheet — October 6, 2021

HiF requests that applicants understand that its students will be required to adhere strictly to all the rules imposed by Hamilton College, CDC and the French authorities: these may include pre-departure testing; quarantine upon arrival on the French territory; follow-up testing; distancing; masks. We will provide detailed information closer to departure, but students will be responsible to adhere to all of them.
