Administration & Directorship
Note on Supervision
Hamilton in France is under the supervision of Hamilton's Department of French and Francophone Studies and the Programs Abroad Committee in consultation with the Academic Council of Hamilton College. Hamilton in France is fully accredited and periodically reviewed by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
Hamilton College French professors, and occasional guest faculty/directors, direct the program on a rotating basis. The resident director in Paris communicates regularly with the College, which ensures that Hamilton standards and policies are maintained. Supporting each director is a team of professionals in the United States and France who have substantial experience in international undergraduate education.
Hamilton in France also maintains contact with the American Embassy about security all over the world and requires its students to register with the American Embassy in Paris immediately upon arrival. It is one of the founding members of the Association de Programmes Américains en France (APUAF), whose role is to monitor unusual situations in France, and provide broad information and guidelines.
