Language Center
The Center provides this support by cultivating a peer education ecosystem comprised of Teaching Fellows in Chinese, Japanese, French, and Spanish, Teaching Assistants in Arabic, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Latin, Russian, and Spanish. We provide tutoring in all languages taught at Hamilton, as well as in Korean, offered through the Alternate Language Study Option (ALSO) program.
Beyond peer education services, the Language Center collaborates with campus offices to communicate how language study teaches students the interpersonal and communicative skills they need for future careers.
Tutoring Services
Tutoring sessions must be booked at least 12 hours in advance to provide our tutors with enough time to prepare. Tutoring sessions booked less than 12 hours in advance may be rescheduled or canceled. The Language Center (CJ 102) is open for tutoring Sunday - Thursday 1pm - 10pm, and we are closed Friday & Saturday.
The Language Center provides one-hour individual tutoring and group tutoring appointments.Individual tutoring appointments can also be scheduled as recurring appointments throughout the semester. Students may select weekly or bi-weekly appointments.
Group tutoring appointments foster community within and across language proficiency levels.
